Chris Hill and his players left no stone unturned in trying to bring back the St. Edward’s men’s and women’s golf programs.

“We attacked this at every angle we could to save the programs, and we did everything we could.” the former St. Edward’s men’s golf coach told CBS Austin.

For the golf program specifically, more than $2 million needed to be raised by the end of May. Despite strong alumni and community support, it was too steep a hill to climb in today’s environment.

Sad to see this happening. Many schools needed to make changes before the resent issues, now they have no choice. Many schools have been living "above their means" and now must reorganize.
