There seems to be more and more talk, if the seasons are to be shortened, we, and other conferences might play only conference games.

I'm curious, based on some responses here, why folks want us to actually play at A&M? Other than than juicy paycheck, what do we have to benefit from it? It's going to be a complete Cr@pshow, and our only upside is coming away from it with minimal injuries.

First, there is no more chance for injuries than any other game., so there is no upside in your view

Some of the best games NT has ever played were against these types of teams, UT, Ga, Tenn, etc.

Odds are stacked in favor of A&M and that would be the case if they were not a top twenty team.

Benefits are NT gets to play on the national stage, Players in general want to play the best.

What is the downside is a better question.  Getting run off the field, not that big a deal because that is what everyone expects.

I don't as a fan mind playing one of these guarantee games, just never more than one a year.  Problem next year, is that NT is going to have a really inexperienced team.

However, NT is not likely to play another team all year close to as good as A&M. It has to help prepare the team for the rest of the season.
