Wow Coach Davis is making some bank these days!

The market doesn’t stop when a coach takes a job, and it’s relatively common for coaches to accept one job over the course of an offseason, then leave days or weeks later when a Godfather-style offer-they-can’t-refuse presents itself.

Arkansas head coach Sam Pittman has avoided such a scenario by doling out raises to defensive coordinator Barry Odom and offensive line coach Brad Davis, as obtained in a public records request by the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette.

Both received $100,000 bumps; Odom will now make $1.3 million, and Davis will earn $650,000.

      St. Johns is one of the great sleeping giant jobs in the nation. They have a fantastic basketball history (they haven't been that great for the last generation or so, but the Johnies do have a helluva tradition) going back about 80 years and they play in NYC at MSG.

      Recent Past With all the excitement over Tylor Perry we quickly forgot about the best player from our recent past. The stats and awards bear it out. In my mind the answer is Javion Hamlet. We won the Conference in 2020 and arguably that was the best team we have ever had.

      Judge orders Florida State, ACC to mediation to settle suit

      A majority of schools could just vote to dissolve the ACC. There would be a court fight, but eventually schools that want out will be released with some greatly reduced financial penalty. It's like a divorce, you can't keep someone in an unhappy relationship, even with a contract. It will happen probably before the end of next year at the pace things are moving.

      The ACC has a media rights deal that runs through 2036 with massive financial penalties to leave. ACC schools make more money per school than the Big 12. The PAC had no media deal and zero financial penalty to leave the conference. The two situations couldn't be more different. ACC schools do not want to associate themselves with the likes of WVU, Cincy, UCF, Texas Tech, OK State and the other Truck Stoppers.

      The ACC will be picked apart just like the PAC was. Big12 will help in the raiding, just as they did with the PAC.
