Love his film. Really fluid route runner. The future of our passing game looks bright. Likely will have an underclassmen QB to throw to the following underclassmen receivers:

sophomores - Jyaire Shorter (9 receiving TDs), Deonte Simpson, and Austin Ogunmakin

redshirt freshmen - Khatib Lyles (multiple P5 offers), Kealon Jackson (multiple P5 offers), and Damon Ward

true freshmen - Loronzo Thompson (multiple P5 offers) and Detraveon Brown (multiple P5 offers)

The competition here is going to produce some top C-USA WRs.   All of these guys could start on most C-USA rosters.

@BillySee58 are you planning on doing the ratings of the class based on offers now that the whole class is signed? I have to think this is our best class maybe ever.

This is really good news. Doesn't seem that long that many on here were jumping off the Seth boat as fast as possible and once again complaining how he and his staff could not recruit.

Are thing going as great as we would like in the MG world; no! But we need to have more faith in the process. We are not the point were were will have great seasons every year. At this point an injury here or there can be devastating. I know we get frustrated, but keep faith in the process

In terms of offer points (1 for G5 offers, 1.5 for P5 offers) this class was still slightly behind last year, I think like 93 offer points to 101. Still had a decent amount of guys in this class with one other FBS offer or no other FBS offers. Still a great class, and those guys weren’t all necessarily bad takes, like Jacobi Johnson who would probably have finished with much more offers if we didn’t get him when we did and hold on.

I’ll try and post the charts later.

For sure. It’s becoming an outlier when a receiver we sign doesn’t have multiple P5 offers. And the ones that don’t are no slouches either. Like you said, guys like Ogunmakin and Ward would be solid signees at most CUSA schools and probably solid contributors as well.

Now it's clear .. from 247

247Sports Team Rankings Explanation

In order to create the most comprehensive Team Recruiting Ranking without any notion of bias, 247Sports Team Recruiting Ranking is solely based on the 247Sports Composite Rating.

Each recruit is weighted in the rankings according to a GAUSSIAN DISTRIBUTION FORMULA (a bell curve), where a team's best recruit is worth the most points. You can think of a team's point score as being the sum of ratings of all the team's commits where the best recruit is worth 100% of his rating value, the second best recruit is worth nearly 100% of his rating value, down to the last recruit who is worth a small fraction of his rating value. This formula ensures that all commits contribute at least some value to the team's score without heavily rewarding teams that have several more commitments than others.

Readers familiar with the Gaussian distribution formula will note that we use a varying value for σ based on the standard deviation for the total number of commits between schools for the given sport. This STANDARD DEVIATION creates a bell curve with an inflection point near the average number of players recruited per team.

Below is a graphical representation of how our formula works. You can see that the area under the curve gets smaller both as the rating for a commit decreases and as the number of total commits for a school increases. The y-axis in this graph represents the percentage weight of the score that gets applied to an overall team ranking.
