From the Baylor site:

Tate Wallis is in his seventh season at Baylor, and his second as an assistant coach working with the receiving corps. He was promoted to his position guiding Baylor's prolific "Wide Receiver U" in January 2015.

Wallis was named the 2015 national Wide Receivers Coach of the Year by FootballScoop for his efforts leading a BU corps highlighted by unanimous All-American and Biletnikoff Award winner Corey Coleman (74 receptions, 1,363 yards, 20 TDs). The Bears top-ranked offense also included All-Big 12 receiver KD Cannon and NFL signee Jay Lee (Lions).

Prior to moving to his current position, Wallis spent three seasons as an assistant director of football operations involved in offensive quality control and two years as a graduate assistant coaching the tight ends and offensive special teams.

The 2008 Tarleton State graduate joined the Baylor staff following a two-year stint coaching inside receivers at Red Oak (Texas) High School.

The former quarterback played collegiately at SMU under then-head coach and current BU defensive coordinator Phil Bennett. He was a two-year letterman at SMU (2002-03), and started seven games and threw for 834 yards as a redshirt freshman in 2002. He also spent time at tight end as a redshirt in 2001.

Wallis led Ennis (Texas) High School to the 2000 4A state championship as a senior quarterback, when he threw for more than 3,600 yards and 37 touchdowns and ran for 1,200 yards and 12 touchdowns. He was named to the 2000 4A All-State second team both by The Associated Press and THSCA.

Also a 4A All-State and District 10-4A MVP in baseball at Ennis, Wallis was selected in the 2001 MLB Draft by the New York Yankees.

Wallis and his wife Jessica are the parents of two sons, Mason and Sutton.

Conspiracy theory Friday (aka - get people riled up)

With his Baylor connection this sets the stage -

In a year or two K Bries comes in as the HC with Wallis ready to go as the OC

I am not opposed if Littrell moves up.
