Recommended Posts

In an age where data is made readily available, the opportunity was taken to evaluate REAL DATA  and compare umbers to some key non-conference opponents. The recipe for winning.is:

1. Establish the running game and RUN for TD’s-OFFENSE

2. STOP the RUN 1at, / Stop the PASS 2nd-DEFENSE

3. Out score your opponents overall
3A. Out score your opponents in the RUN category 1st3B. Out score your opponents in the PASS category 2nd

NUMBERS DON’’T LIE!

Left column is TEAM stats

Right column is TEAM stats against opponents

Interesting  FACTS

Test this recipe against all NCAA D1 teams and look at their overall record.

It’ll be interesting to see if SL can change his focus from being a spread offense, just outscore the other team type of coach to a more balanced coach that can put emphasis on defense and actually develop it. He’s a Leach disciple, so I’m not sure if he will be open to adapting or if he will be more like the Briles viewpoint, which is to focus on getting a stop a half so they can score more.

Either way, we are going to see how he reacts to adversity. He’s not going anywhere now. This upcoming schedule is going to be even harder than last year, which was WAY harder than 2018.,
