Arkansas officials spent Sunday in Boca Raton, Florida, presumably with Florida Atlantic head coach Lane Kiffin, as the Razorbacks' coaching search kicks into another gear.

He would be better off at Florida State. Really hard to win at Arkansas. They are in toughest division in toughest conference. Just ask A&M.

He'd be better off winning another year of C-USA and seeing if a non D Grade P-5 gig opens up after 2020 season.  Both those jobs are dogs.

FSU?   They're a College Football Blue Blood that is just on hard times... not unlike Clemson prior to Dabo or Alabama prior to Saban.

FSU is a great job.

Arkansas, for all of their very old history, is just stuck in a log jam in the SEC West.   That job is NOT a good one.

I bet the Lane Train coached his arse off the end of this year knowing two juicy openings were going to be there.  Kudos to FAU for storming back and winning the East.  Now off to FSU I bet he goes.

This.

FSU won a title 6 years ago--they just made a poor hire after Jimbo took his paid-retirement gig in College Station.

Whoever takes over that FSU job has a very good chance of being the one who takes them to greatness again. In that league, one team always runs roughshod on everyone else for a while, then drops off--see Miami, FSU, Clemson, and Va Tech as examples of this ebb and flow.

That being said, FSU can do a lot better than Joey Freshwater. Arkansas can't, but FSU can.
