Not over... yet.

Agreed.  There are actually several quite plausible scenarios that put us in the conference championship game if we can win out.  Obviously that is easier said than done,, but the teams ahead of us in the standings have some tough games left, and we can still grab the head-to-head over La Tech and UAB.  La Tech still has to play @ Marshall and @ UAB.  Southern Miss still hosts UAB and WKU and plays @ FAU.  Lots of football left to play.

Unless our “D” does a complete 180 it’s hard to get excited about our school having a real chance to participate in the above championship scenario.
Maybe this is the year we don’t have to worry about a bowl loss?

Uh, the decade begins in 2011 and ends in 2020 so suck it @Cerebus we have one more year,

I mean all human language is just mutually agreed upon constructs.  Why is the thing we call an apple called a pomme by other people?  Because big enough groups of people decided that's what they are called.

In modern and scholastic usage the decade group has been commonly judged to be separated by the tens digit.  The 1950s run from 1950->1959, the 1980s run from 1980-1989.  I mean does anyone consider 1970 to be part of the 60s?  Or 2000 to be part of the 90s?

So with that in mind:

  1. Jan 1 2010->Dec 21 2010: 1st Year
  2. Jan 1 2011->Dec 21 2011: 2nd Year
  3. Jan 1 2012->Dec 21 2012: 3rd Year
  4. Jan 1 2013->Dec 21 2013: 4th Year
  5. Jan 1 2014->Dec 21 2014: 5th Year
  6. Jan 1 2015->Dec 21 2015: 6th Year
  7. Jan 1 2016->Dec 21 2016: 7th Year
  8. Jan 1 2017->Dec 21 2017: 8th Year
  9. Jan 1 2018->Dec 21 2018: 9th Year
  10. Jan 1 2019->Dec 21 2019: 10th Year

Jan 1 2020 is the start of the next decade (the 2020s), Jan 1 2030 is the start of the next one (the 2030s).  If we don't win CUSA in 2019, then we haven't won a conf championship in the 2010s.

I do not mutually agree upon your construct.

I will keep the year of our non-pomme eating Lord 2020 in the current decade. Inject the 202nd decade of the Common Era into my veins.
