Yes I repeat myself with this Ancient vignette about a win in 1975 over the Vols, but these kind of things still happen now even later in a season.  

Last year we kicked SMU’s butt causing them to go transfer portal crazy so it wouldn’t happen to them again yet in front of their fans😆 & then later last Fall SMU kicked Houston's.   Go figure.đŸ€”Â 

THIS:  We are all passionate about our school & our MG football team—let’s not give up on them now.

Football is an emotional game, and teams do get stronger or weaker as the season progresses.

There are all kinds of examples where a team was destroyed in a game and come back in a championship or bowl game and return the favor. 

The season has not even got to the mid-point, NT has a chance to have a very good season.  

NT is not likely to play anyone else as good as the teams that have beaten them. 

I don't think the NT lines are going to be overmatched in CUSA.   

Just cut down on the opponents' long plays and don't get behind by two tds or more in the first quarter.  That should be the key to success in league action.

Game hasn't even started and I'm 90% positive we are already down 2 TD's in the first quarter.

I am assuming that you are alluding to our loss to Oklahoma State that year.  That score is a bit misleading, since OSU had tapped into our communicatons system and knew our plays.  On a level playing field it might have been a different score.

      Doesn't seem new, but unlimited transfers

      I can't blame them, the system in place allows them to profit and to move freely. We may not like it, but it's the system. I'm hoping schools taking over the collectives, it's already happening for reasons I stated above, will usher in contracts and buy outs for players. We've opened Pandora's box so we aren't going back to amateur sports, the best we can get out of it is payment on our investments.

      Agree, there was some semblance of programs doing the right thing and following the rules even though they were always getting busted for violations, and everyone knew cheating was going on. It's why I was saying the veil is off now, and making everyone play by those rules has supercharged the whole thing. Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but the schools aren't supposed to work with NIL collectives to get players right? But everyone including UNT is 100% working with these collectives to send out deals to players. Same kind of fake rule following like we used to have, just more of it now.

      I’m not the type who’s going to say, “I’m done with college sports” and that be it. I’m moreso the guy whose interest is just going to wane to the point that I don’t watch anymore. It would actually free up a lot of time that I could be more productiveđŸ€ŁđŸ€Ł
