DRC: UTSA TE Leroy Watson released from hospital, on way back to San Antonio

I saw this hit and saw Watson lie completely still. Did not move a muscle. It puzzled me as I saw nothing about the sideline hit that would look to warrant such an injury. I would like to see a replay of a close up to see exactly what happened. Very scary and very unfortunate. I am very happy to see that he has been released from the hospital and I hope and pray that he has a speedy and full recovery. Same goes for the UTSA QB. I hate to see any player hurt.

So happy he's going to be OK, and can only imagine the concern that his parents were experiencing.

The player somersaulted and probably jerked his neck forward and down too quickly. The television replay showed that he was moving his legs (very slightly) immediately after he collapsed but every precaution was taken to not agitate the condition further.

Great news to read. Watching the play, it was hard to see how he got hurt but glad officials did everything right to take every precaution. Also, about Wren Baker already being at the hospital by the time UTSA officials got there. What else can you say? Not only is he a great representative for the school, but what a class act of a human being. He didn't need to go but was already there before UTSA officials. How did we get so lucky having him represent us?
