A forgotten GMG.com tradition: Haiku

Recommended Posts

Whatever happen to the Look a like thread

A player of theirs looks like a loaf of bread,

Their Corner back Erik Sutton

Will go Mad when Bussey pushes his Button,

There will be an injury to WR Rashee Rice

When our DB's Make him pay the Price,

Their running back is big

and kind of looks like a pig,

A tremble will over come  TE Carson Welch

When He hears Hambone's Belch,

I feel Bad for Coach Dykes

Because we are about to stomp em with our spikes,

It's Time to win big in Dallas,

So we can tear down SMU's Idea of a Golden Palace!

It's not a Haiku I know,

But I'll try again tomorrow

There once was a football team called the ponies,
who dreamt of days when they rostered some cronies.
Along came the Mean Green,
that unstoppable machine,
and exposed them all as phonies.

SMU
Expensive, Snooty
Losing, Cheating, Forgotten
Their crowds resemble a ghost town

Edit:  For those confused, this is a cinquain, not a haiku.
