Expectations for Saturday

Fine’s SR year, the always changing landscape of college coaching & a metroplex rival that you haven’t beaten in their house since the Millard Fillmore admin...... smells like the closest thing to a must win. Very much needed game imo, but what I love is great talent & a good team on paper means lofty expectations... let it fly, live up to the hype

Probably not since of the 23 on scholarship, 15 will be back for the 2020 season, and 5 or 6 return for 2021. They aren’t all one year stop gaps.

So SMU loses 16 or 17 players after two seasons?

Those 5 or 6 better be really good for year 3, and that the freshmen or sophs in 2021 can step in and produce.

May not be a traditional stopgap of 1 year players, but I guarantee Dykes isn't worried about it.

He's trying to use those two years to coast into another P5 job and leave poor ole SMU in the dust
