DRC: Connections to staff helped UNT land highly regarded LB Jordan Brown

Recommended Posts

Good stuff.    Welcome Jordan!  You made a great choice.

One thing that caught my eye, notice that even though Tulsa offered he was not interested in them.  That is partly because their Coach Monty is likely not going to be there next year.  My hope is that we continue to own Tulsa in recruiting.  To get to where we want the program to be we just have to.  Also, interesting to see Colorado State's name in Texas so much.   Their head coach Miek Bobo is from Georgia.  Their linebacker coach is from Eastern Kentucky.  Here is a link to their staff:   https://csurams.com/coaches.aspx?path=football

I count 8 players from Texas on their roster...  they went 3-9 last year?  What is the attraction?

I read somewhere that the University of Tulsa is in serious financial difficulties.  Perhaps Tulsa is too shaky for recruits to seriously consider.
