DRC: Five key issues for UNT heading into fall camp

Recommended Posts

If we switch to more of a hurry up offense, I can pretty much guarantee that statistically the defense will look much worse this year.    I would bet that defensive coordinators privately hate hurry up offenses in general, because they do artificially inflate the defensive stats (except for things like yards per play).

I believe OC Reeder does a lot of variation in his tempo. And he does variation for just this reason. Also to know when the D is gassing and when they're prepped with right personnel. It's not full throttle from start to end.

What if the defense just gets a sack on every single opponent snap? I think that puts all this discussion to rest.

In reply to #3 - We need to do a better job having our backup QB ready to go. When we are in the position to do so, please let him get reps.

…...and let him throw the damn ball while he is in there "getting reps".
