DRC: Colts sign Cole Hedlund after minicamp

Recommended Posts

Even though Vinatieri is expected to be the Colts kicker, this is a great opportunity for Hedlund.

Mike Badgley was in a similar spot last year as the Colts' camp leg until Vinatieri took over halfway through the preseason.  The experience and exposure proved valuable as  Badgley was picked up by the Chargers in October, finished the season as their full time kicker, and now looks to be their long-term plan for the position.

Great for Cole. I am stilled surprised that Trevor Moore never caught on with a team.

Or Will Atterberry or Jason Ball, etc. 🤷‍♂️

What a great story it would make if he earns his way onto a pro team, after Arkansas tossed him aside and ran him off, only the see him again in a UNT uniform, and get their a$$ kicked...Then capped off with a pro contract....Needs to happen...

Does anyone know if he is still trying to catch on with a team or has he given up on the dream?

Seems like I read somewhere that Trevor showed up to the latest NT pro day.

And that brings up a question.  Do we think Cole will list  his school as North Texas or Arkansas ?  He took some grad courses here but his degree is from Hawg-land.

THE University of North Texas.  We loved him and the Hawgs ran him out of town.  Plus, grad courses at UNT> undergrad degree from Piggy U.
