Our shooting percentages are ridiculously poor.   Our “shooters” are a combined 6-26 from the field.

They have been even since back when we had a good record

It was a decent season, but completely disappointing at the same time.

Back to back 20 win seasons for the first time in a long time, but a lot of wins this year against some questionable teams. I’m not trying to be negative, that’s just a fact.

Time to pack it in, evaluate, regroup, and come back with a vengeance in October.

This team sucks

No more of these patty cake games early in the season, way too many.

People need to realize that we didn’t falter down the stretch because of easy early competition. We faltered down the stretch because of poor roster building moves that gave us no depth, a couple injuries, and Roosevelt Smart shooting us out of almost every game down the stretch. Duffy and Smart never got going this year and they weren’t even when we were winning. That collapse would’ve happened even if we were playing Duke and Virginia at he beginning of the year.

If Smart had been 75% of what he was last year, we would have won at least 3-4 more games.  He was a shell of himself.

That’s what us old nesters call “The Ronnie Morgan Syndrome”.

30% FG

18.5% 3 pt FG

58.8% FT

Embarrasing. I want to hear something from McCasland that isn’t coach speak to explain this massive collapse.

We have to get some length at the forward position on this team. We only have one player that set a pick and that is Zach and we are bringing him outside the arch!

Hate to say it, but we would have collapsed playing Duke and Virginia, whenever we would have played them...

Damn, Woolridge is a warrior.   Not going to beat any decent team shooting this bad.

The last thing this teams needs is another tournament.  Call it a year.

For sure, I agree.  Too many losses down the stretch.  Let’s call it a night on this season.  Sounds like too many injuries, need to get these guys in the Cryo chamber and rest em up, get em healthy.  Great start, disappointing finish.  Leave it at that.

Not a surprising result. I hope we sit out the CBI or whatever other meaningless tournament comes our way and reevaluate.

As do I. We'd be lucky to hear jack shit.

There is 0 offensive sets to speak of. Look like a HS team hoping to just get a shot off, contested or not. Embarrassing display, and Grant needs to publicly address this ASAP. #joke

Now McCasland and Benford have each had one conference tournament game win after two seasons.

You certainly can get away with a couple of major contributors around six feet or so, but it's still a big man's game unless you've got a bunch of Currys throwing up threes out there. Oh well, we had a nice early run, and we'll see if Grant can bring in what we need.
