How cool would that be. My wife would love it....a House Divided.

It would be very cool. Most people would love it. Revenue would be streaming full tilt with 8 playoff games and talking about building a fan base for the "little guys", this would do wonders.

But...The greedy piglets at the top would fear this woruld water down the product, and in hand would MAYBE water down TV contracts and then possibly allowing monetary push puts to slightly erode. And their bank roll is numero uno.

Let's have this 16-team national title tournament.  Then, another 16 go to the NIT and another 16 to the FIT (or whatever they wanted to call it).  There could even be a fourth one.  This way, you still get lots of teams into the postseason, but the interest level would be higher than all these rando bowls.

As you’ve mentioned, the G5’s are content with the scraps and the current setup because of the money and the fact that these ADs and coaches want to move up the P5.

Its just sad that the NCAA doesn’t care one iota about those G5 players, coaches, or fans ever getting to see their teams get a chance at ever playing for a national championship.
