Looking ahead

This season is by NO MEANS over, but let’s just look at what we have on the floor next year.  We have one glaring weakness, and that’s size.  We live and die with our guards, it is what it is.

Next season everyone returns except Duffy, Miller and Arikawe.  Duffy and Miller are big losses.

We bring in a single recruit (so far) in the PG Jalen Jackson (who looks like he will be special and can run alongside or spell Woolridge), Larry Wise was highly touted coming out of high school and hopefully Alcindor and Niko can give us some sort of minutes with some size.  With the remaining ships we might find a transfer or JUCO banger as well.

I think we have a good shot to continue the current trajectory or move upward.

Wooly is so special. In watching the OD game I found it interesting that the analysis of Wooly is if he could develop an outside shot he would have potential at the pro level. GMG

Yes, he is special, but as a PG he needs to bump his FT percentage up by 25% plus. He's good at attacking the bucket, and getting to the line and hitting should be a big part of his game.

Woolridge's numbers resemble those of the #10 pick in the 2014 NBA Draft...

I believe he has a shot if next season he shoots the three a little more freely and knocks it down. The way he can handle the ball and attack is something special.
