UNT coaches moving up the food chain is a credit to the AD and school. The required qualifications for new candidates just jumped dramatically! GMG

True and ok?

The manmade food chain established by money and then follow up on with greed.

Makes it look like we're sweating it, when the truth is we were only sweating on short yardage/situational play calling. Arguably when OCs make their hay.

With news coming tomorrow I doubt it is up longer than a day.

Based on this logic, we shouldn't have anything about any players moving on to the NFL with NFL or team supplied pictures.

Players are alumni and forever connected with UNT.  Coaches are employees - and generally very short-term ones at that. Surely that isn’t lost on everyone?

So no staff people should be in the hall of fame? Hayden Fry isn't going to be always connected to NT?

Now, I'm not suggesting him for the Hall of Fame! I am just saying his accomplishments have raised the profile of the Offensive Coordinator position and he has demonstrated to future applicants that taking the position of OC at NT lead can directly lead to a coordinator position at one of the traditional national powers. That's worth celebrating at the top of the forum for a few days!

I think we have somewhat different views on his accomplishments here, but that’s ok - it’s why we have a forum.

That "logically" makes no sense. Great attempt.

These coaches don't give a shit about UNT. No one can convince me otherwise. They care about their money and their next job.

Players and former players make friends here, meet future wives here, spend 4 or 5 years walking the campus getting educated. They are alum. Coaches, meh. We should treat em like jimmies, because you better damn believe they will and have done the same.
