I wouldn't be surprised to see James Proche Jr transfer after this news. He's also graduating with a year of eligibility remaining and the coaches in Austin are well aware of his talent. The loss of Hicks would almost certainly reduce Proche's role at SMU next season but he could be a difference maker on a much larger stage at UT and drastically enhance his draft value.

Why? They're going to throw balls to him no matter what.  He's the best receiver on the team.

Will Brown is a talented athlete but he's not the proficient passer that Hicks is, especially the timing to hit receivers in stride. Why should a receiver of Proche's ability stay and battle that futility when he has the opportunity to play somewhere that could really showcase his talents.

I wouldn't exactly call Pix Six Hicks a proficient passer.
