It’s crazy. The improvement has happened so quickly.

Admittedly, the early schedule was soft, but we’re doing what we should do. The game against OU, even in a loss, was a good experience for the team. Presented coaching opportunities on dealing with a team that possessed superior team length and similar athleticism. Will pay dividends for us.

It seems coaching does matters to make a team perform at a high level!  GMG

I don't wanna count chickens, but I think we should definitely be in the race for the league crown.

You're not out of line here. If form holds for all parties we're in this race for sure.

I do not want to get too excited, because the schedule didn't really allow the team to properly meassure itself. That said the win over the sycamores sure was NTs best so far and if you look at the NCAAs new NET rating:

41. NT

118. La Tech

121. Marshall

160. UAB

165. USM

174. WKU

175. FAU

184. UTSA

everyone else worse than 200.

That is a massive gap right now. The league has got to be hoping NT is as good as the blown up record says or else seeding is guaranteed to be aweful.

We need to win tonight and at New Mexico to show that we are for real.  New Mexico is a hard court to win it at.  It is very loud, a mile high and can be an intimating place to play.  You use to not be able to even get a ticket for the games but I have heard that has changed over the last few years. If you are going to the bowl game and are staying for the basketball game the stadium and "The Pit" are located across the street from each other.  Both are not on the campus of UNM.
