I understand the guy saying he wants to sack Mason many times, but instead saying he’s going to hit him as hard as he can seems a touch classless.  

“They are definitely a passing team with Mason Fine, so I’m going to try to hit him as hard as I can,” Bagner said.

We all know what they are thinking too...get UNT into the second half in a close or even not so close game and they will fold down the stretch. I can all but guaranty you the FAU coaching staff has been mentioning those late game and second half-losses. 

So, time to step-up and demonstrate a bit of "killer instinct" should/when UNT gets that lead in the first half.  That re-set button must have been malfunctioning last week.  Hope they got it fixed.  BEAT FAU!

Its amazing at just how different second halves have gone for us in close games this season versus last year. There's always a return to the mean, I guess. Last year, we always found a way to win late in the second half. This year, its either been just hang on for our life or completely blow it.

I submit the Rice & USM games as counter-proof.   Now, should we have ever been in a dogfight with Rice into the 3rd quarter?   No.   But it's not JUST 2nd half meltdowns.

As for the question, we know their Head Coach has already publicly baked-in an excuse to his team's poor performance on Thursday by complaining about travelling for Thursday night games.

Isn't he just basically saying "Imma try to do my job" ?

Better yet, let's let them get ahead in the first half.  That worked out well for us last year, right?   .......right?

      Tim Pernetti's (new AAC Commissioner) remarks regarding exploring more corporate involvement seems interesting and innovative, sort of. Getting some heavy-hitter businesses on board with their big advertising/public-relations budgets. They get to splash their logos all over the AAC venues, ceremonies, uniforms, etc in exchange for some NIL type moola. I don't know, it all just feels weird and uncomfortable to this old fat guy.

      The Athletic on DFW Football recruiting

      We have complained for years about being left in the dark. The Mean Green Club was promised quarterly meetings that never took place, now there is little to no coverage of the spring practices, player movement is constant so the days of watching a last second scholarship player developing in to a Hall of Fame performer are long gone ala Johnny Quinn, there is little to no fan engagement, etc... It just keeps getting worse and without a push to really involve the fans, I foresee a bleak future. They, the AD, has to create excitement around the team/program or Apogee will just become a waste of money, the new basketball arena will never happen and future adds like baseball will just be an idea that came too late. The days of the G5's are on their way out. It will be whittled down to the top 40 or 50 programs as D1. We might as well go back to our D1AA days and play at the FCS level. I am just about done with sports from a financial commitment position. The greed has ruined it for me. Their is zero loyalty towards the program by the players. It is all about them and how much money they can cram in their pockets and it appears our basketball coach encourages the lack of loyalty. I will watch on television, but that's about it, much like pro sports have become. I have no interest in attending a Cowboys' game live once the prices became ridiculous, same with the Mav's and Rangers' in that stupid new ballpark that was a waste of money. I had arrived at a point where I was only willing to invest in watching North Texas live, but the current situation has ruined that as well. The future of all of college sports is a disaster if some type of control isn't put in place. It is ridiculous and very sad. Guess I will end up spending my money on golf, fine food and drink, drugs, etc. and become a more interesting person.
