UAB holds off North Texas in monumental home win

The UAB Blazers overcame an 11-point halftime deficit to defeat North Texas, 29-21, to take a commanding lead in the Conference USA West division race. 

The Blazers (6-1) held North Texas to only 64 rushing yards and sacked Mason Fine a total of four times for a loss of 13 yards. Fine becoming the first quarterback to throw for more than 200 yards on the UAB defense after going 29 of 40 for 336 yards and 3 touchdowns.

A.J. Erdely finished 14 of 22 for 189 yards while running the ball 14 times for 23 yards. Sophomore running back Spencer Brown hit the century mark for the third time this season with 100 yards on 25 carries with three rushing scores.
