ESPN: CFP director: Path for UCF to reach playoff

  Bill Hancock, CFP executive director: "for the path, play a good schedule, win your games, and you're going to be in the hunt for the College Football Playoff".  

  If we continue to win out (either in '18 or over a longer period of time) schedule (and beat) tougher teams, we should be in a good position.  We should continue to schedule SEC and AAC  teams (maybe even UCF) each season...we need to increase our S.O.S.

Exactly. Because of this I'd rather schedule beatable teams and finish with 1-2 loss at worst each year to get an NY6 or other top bowl. If we do that, they won't be able to ignore us if they ever do expand to 8 teams. Until then, I don't see the point in beating yourself up for nothing.

I believe it should 6 with every P5 conference getting one bid and then the best of G5 getting the last spot.
