Yeah, That's the Astrodome. I used to go to Astro and Oiler games there back in the 70's and early 80's when it looked like that. The Bull and Pistols were awesome. I like the old school stuff. I wish the city would renovate it back to it's glory days, and the Astros would move back. I hate Minute Maid Park.

Yeah, when I was a kid going to Candlestick and the Oakland Coliseum in the 70s and 80s, I had a lot of envy for Astros fans.  I thought that dome and Astroturf were about the coolest things I'd ever seen on television except of course for those Astros uniforms, which are still to this day one of my favorite designs.

Its probably STILL better than the Alamodome, even in its current dilapidated state...

This. Minute Maid was too tricked up when it opened with the hill in center field for instance.  The Ballpark is a true ballpark and should not be replaced.

The Ballpark is gorgeous.  It is one of my favorite and tearing it down so they can fleece taxpayers again is a disgrace.  

Minute Maid just does it’s job very well.  All seats are tight to the field and big open concourses make it a good game day experience.  I just wish they still allowed them to open the roof mid game.  Everyone loved watching it open after the sun went down.

I like Minute Maid--and I love the Ballpark in Arlington, just sad to see us build MMP 2.0 up here to withstand the heat. But I do get why they are doing it, since it costs the team in gate receipts bigtime during the weeknight games in the summer.

MMP is nice, though, even if its mostly used as an indoor stadium. I like it even more now that the hill is gone in center field.

      I can't blame them, the system in place allows them to profit and to move freely. We may not like it, but it's the system. I'm hoping schools taking over the collectives, it's already happening for reasons I stated above, will usher in contracts and buy outs for players. We've opened Pandora's box so we aren't going back to amateur sports, the best we can get out of it is payment on our investments.

      Agree, there was some semblance of programs doing the right thing and following the rules even though they were always getting busted for violations, and everyone knew cheating was going on. It's why I was saying the veil is off now, and making everyone play by those rules has supercharged the whole thing. Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but the schools aren't supposed to work with NIL collectives to get players right? But everyone including UNT is 100% working with these collectives to send out deals to players. Same kind of fake rule following like we used to have, just more of it now.

      I’m not the type who’s going to say, “I’m done with college sports” and that be it. I’m moreso the guy whose interest is just going to wane to the point that I don’t watch anymore. It would actually free up a lot of time that I could be more productive🤣🤣
