Attn: Sports Gamers

I am looking to buy a baseball game for my GameCube this year. I used to play Triple Play on the PC, but that was a while ago.

I like the look of MVP and feel it will be improved from last year (especially the franchise mode). I also like some things about All-Star. For some of you experienced gamers out there who know, which one is the best?

They all have great review sections; GameFAQs has player reviews for its games, and it has a pile of player-written game guides for practically any game ever made.

I have MVP 2003 for Xbox and I give it my endorsment. In 2002 I had All-Star baseball. While All-Star could have been a good game, too many odd flaws (balls a few feet away would "appear" in a diving outfielders glove).

MVP is a very smooth game that can be picked up on easily.

MVP 2003, that's the one with Johnson on the front correct? It's wonderful and more realistic than the others. It also has a great soundtrack to it: OK GO, Blink 182, The Donnas, Revis. The game with Jeter on the front, All-Star I think, was too hard to hit the ball solidly for me. You can't go wrong with MVP. I have it on PS2.

I vote MVP basically becuase i love the gameplay of EA and i will stick to it unitl it disappoints me and so far that just hasnt happend

I have All-Star - it's pretty fun, but I would go with MVP, it has better features/graphics.

Here is something that bothers me about MVP: It won't keep track of records or have a hall of fame. Kind of a bummer.

Is the Negro League team feature on All-Star cool, or just fluff? It sounds awesome, but so did the mascot game feature on NCAA.

I loved to have a super fast guy. You could bunt, and run around the bases before anyone could tag you out.

Sorry, got an Xbox and don't own any sports games currently!

I would recommend Halo or Rainbow Six 3!

Those are the only 2 I own as I do not have enough time to play any other games.

Well it looks like it will be MVP in a runaway. Several critcs are saying they have never seen this much improvement in a game over one calendar year, and are touting it as the best baseball game ever. It hits stores around March 9th, so I will be picking it up that week sometime.

The torture will be having to trade away A-Rod manually because the roster deadline was January 15th.
