The University has put together a fantastic package to get students to the game.....  Let's Help

I challenge everybody reading this to sponsor 1 student for the game....$60  Let's fill those buses and hotel rooms with the future readers of this forum and hopefully future donors to the program at large...

Make the call to the ticket office....call Nitardi direct.....just make it happen...

Done.  This should be a big effort on this board.

The Mean Green are Bayou bound on Saturday, December 16th for the R+L Carriers New Orleans Bowl and we want to make this one of our best bowl trips ever! With the help of our generous supporters, the university and athletics department are now offering discounted tickets for students making the trip to New Orleans. Whether you plan to attend the game or not, please consider making a tax-deductible gift to provide UNT students with a memorable bowl experience, and ensure that we have a strong contingent cheering on the Mean Green to another bowl victory.

I would encourage anyone that can to help, definitely makes an immediate impact.

One clarification - $60 is the cost to the student.  The total cost is actually roughly $160.  So student $60 and Athletics (hopefully with lots of donations) is covering the rest of approximately $110 more (ticket, bus and hotel).   In reality, anything you can donate - $10, $100, $500 will help get more students and therefore more people to the game.

Serious question.  What are the legal ramifications if a student(that I sponsored) is hurt(or worse) in New Orleans during this sponsored trip?  Does UNT take full liability?  Not trying to muddy the water, but I'd like to know.

Its money you are sending to the UNT Athletic Department and they are then in charge of policing the activities of getting them there, taking the liability from that point. You have no liability here...
