Well! I guess this saves me the trouble of sending you a PM and asking how you feel about the current situation with DPD.

Congratulations Emmitt! This is a big loss for the citizens of Dallas and a big win for your family.

Since this is an Adventist town, and since their Sabbath is on Saturday, many of the stores will be closed on Saturday. So (in theory) going to games should be easier for you. Also, Adventist are known to be good cooks and healthy eaters. So lots of healthy food should be brought to the station on a regular basis. I'm assuming your family's medical needs will be taken care of by the excellent Hugley medical center in Fort Worth.

addendum: after looking at google maps, your travel should be much easier than traveling from Dallas. From Keene, you can go to Cleburne and Chisolm Trail Parkway, then to 820 north, then 35W, where it's about a 30 min. drive to Apogee.

      Texas Monthly ranked Truth #3 in Texas in 2021. Of course this is all subjective, but Truth is definitely one of the top spots in Houston. Personally, it's my favorite. Pinkerton's and Pit Room are also very good.

      I've said this exact thing for years. Those NFL-lite and NBA-lite schools need to separate completely. Move on to their New Minor League setup. And let the rest of us compete against peers in a structure that makes sense, from a cost standpoint. I would love to have UNT in a league that has the current AAC, MWC, CUSA, MAC, and SBC schools, as well as the former power programs that get left behind, like Washington State and Oregon State have already experienced.

      either way....it seems that there is no longer going to be a middle ground. And UNT and it's alumni need to decide which way they're going to go. Either go all in....or drop. We can't just sit and stay afloat....unless there is some sort of official break. That seems to be our only hope. Let the top 40 schools form their own thing and then the rest of us go regional. That's really our only option and if that doesn't happen then it's time to decide if throwing any money toward "big time" football is worth it. I challenge anyone to come up with a justification for it. Basketball is still there for the taking and much less expensive to operate.
