If by "finishing touches", he means Nike is still designing the jersey, then it may still be a while.

We better not be in the design phase otherwise we're not getting new uniforms this season.

I just hope that those working on it remember that perfect is the enemy of good.  It needs to be out ASAP.  It will be a huge show of "something different, new, and innovative" that so many long time fans need.  

That's my point...I'm just a regular guy asking for info on a path forward. I ask what's going on and I get vilified for it. I want us to be the best and expect the best. Is that too much to ask?!

Yes I am a fan...but I'm also a son of Denton going to his hometown university and I'm tired of settling. I made a thread and if you google it there was a contract put out for the creation of such a plan

UNT is a state institution so they move at the speed of bureaucracy and many times it's never fast enough.

What bothers me isn't how long we're waiting to unveil the new uniforms, but rather we still don't seem to know when the uniforms will be ready. I feel like if they knew we would have gotten an announcement like A&M just put out. 

That said, I'm not losing any sleep over it like some of y'all seem to be.

      I can't blame them, the system in place allows them to profit and to move freely. We may not like it, but it's the system. I'm hoping schools taking over the collectives, it's already happening for reasons I stated above, will usher in contracts and buy outs for players. We've opened Pandora's box so we aren't going back to amateur sports, the best we can get out of it is payment on our investments.

      Agree, there was some semblance of programs doing the right thing and following the rules even though they were always getting busted for violations, and everyone knew cheating was going on. It's why I was saying the veil is off now, and making everyone play by those rules has supercharged the whole thing. Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but the schools aren't supposed to work with NIL collectives to get players right? But everyone including UNT is 100% working with these collectives to send out deals to players. Same kind of fake rule following like we used to have, just more of it now.

      I’m not the type who’s going to say, “I’m done with college sports” and that be it. I’m moreso the guy whose interest is just going to wane to the point that I don’t watch anymore. It would actually free up a lot of time that I could be more productive🤣🤣

      I don’t completely disagree, but at least they used to have sit out a year if they transferred. If I’m going to lose a year of eligibility, I’m going to think long and hard before I leave for another school. Now? No reason whatsoever to stay.
