Totally unacceptable for a coach in his fifth year. This is worse than year one. Maybe today is the day. Then again, most coach's this bad wouldn't be in their fifth year.

I seriously think the thought process by UNT leaders (not Baker, as he wasn't here yet) was "well, we will just cross our fingers and hope he can at least get to .500."

I'm surprised we are not a 23-25 point dog. I think it will be a lot worse. May have to give the 17 and bet the house on Tech.

I think this will be Benfords last game. No clue who would take over. I wouldn't mind Shelton getting a shot... he can't do any worse. 

Based on Wren at the last home game, the lack posts on the meangreen website and the fact Benford hasn't done a video chalk talk in a really long time leads me to believe he already knows and they are slowly making the change behind the doors.

For some reason we have play Latech well the last few years.  Doubtful that trend holds tonight, but still interesting that for some reason we have played them tough with less talented teams.

2 of the 3 games the last 2 years have been at UNT. 

UNT lost by 11 in their only game during that stretch that was in Rustin, La. and that was last year.

La Tech is better this year.

It would have been nice, to show that before a lot of time watsed 

This conference really needs to work on broadcast standards and fine those that can't comply.

There's no doubt in my mind that this was RV's mindset. He showed he clearly preferred hoping Benford would turn things around over owning up to his own mistake.

I mean, how possibly could the "idiot board" be right and he be wrong? 

Well he was right about one thing. He won't have to stand up in front of people and say Tony Benford was the worst coach he ever hired. But is he wrong that "Tony Benford is a hell of a basketball coach."

In the same podcast he blamed Tony Mitchell and others for Benford's first year, and also said we would have baseball by spring 2016. At least he was right that he never would have to fire Benford!
