CUSA has established a " Futures Planning Committee" chaired by the A.D. from ODU. Their mission is to determine meaningful ways to reduce expenses, especially travel costs, with all ideas on the table. One way that may be considered is adding two additional members to create 8 team divisions which would allow 7 divisional games to be played. I assume the interconference games will be more geographically friendly. At present CUSA football is ranked 9th out of 10 conferences ahead of only the MAC, so the SBC would be a step up.This report was due out the end of April but has yet to be released.

They said they were given the opportunity to continue their careers, but not that they will. Not sure about Rucker, but Westervelt had a similar offer from Tulsa. -

This is why I still think there could be a couple of late HS signings - if the right players slip through. Next year could be a big walk-on year for a lot of schools. -

That’s fair. Definitely some solid logic in those explanations. Looking at some of the plays Alabama ran, some of their route schemes were 4-5 second developing plays that are almost unheard of playcalls, made possible by that line. Can’t knock the QB for the throw but also hard to project knowing that much time and separation won’t be there in the NFL.- 2

Portal perspective
Exactly, Ryan Woolridge didn’t get his chance at the sweet 16 with the Zags like he should have and our CUSA champ team didn’t get a chance in the tourney like they should have. Nobody cares about last year’s spring sport seniors and their peril. It’s all about the P5 football factories.
