He's the lead dog on this staff from a recruiting perspective in my opinion.

Id like to say yes, but from the defensive side.

Give him a chance to say YES to North Texas!

Raveon had a very good visit here, enjoyed the staff, and enjoyed the campus and the people!

Maybe Raveon has a lot of character. Cars and cash offers are cheating!

Come on Raveon, commit to your next home, North Texas!

It's common modern day CFB recruiting practice in the blueblood circle.

Compete for a starting job here or ride the pine for 'Bama or the Cornhuskers.

Lets just hope getting on the field and showing scouts what he can do more important to a JUCO with a couple of years left in his college career than the status of being a bench warmer at Bama.

We shall see, but historically this doesn't work out well for UNT.

He also retweeted Vito's blog tweet about our OL commitment.  He is also retweeting stuff about other schools but not nearly as much as North Texas stuff for what its worth.

In a side note a young man named Frederick Wortham who is a 2017 LA Valley Safety at 6' 215 lbs is a December graduate.  Possibility of us looking at him also.  He benches 355 twice, and squats 585 three times.  He also started following me yesterday.

So it comes down to more playing time in front of 15K - 20K fans vs the chance for less playing time for national titles in front of 80K fans. Not looking great for the good guys here.

80K? Bama pulls over 100K a home game. Either way, we have to bank on the fact that he isn't a 17-year old high school senior trying to get the best perceived program to offer him. But then again, he is only 20 or 21 and he may just go with the better perceived offer just to say, "I made it."

Also, to note, Saban is known for ridding players if they do not live up to the initial performance expectation. When he does rid his players it always has, "released due to breaking team rules." I guess one of the Alabama rules are to perform at a high level or be gone.

I'm including other schools he'll play in front of on the road. 80K is about the midpoint in the SEC. Anyway, 21 year-olds can be seduced by rings and trophies. Alabama under Saban is one of a handful of schools that can recruit by saying "we'll be competing for the national championship this year". I'm just saying I don't like our chances against Nebraska and Alabama and I wouldn't blame him for going to either of those two schools. I also think he will get a heck of a lot more playing time here then anywhere else but sometimes that just isn't enough.

I wouldn't assume that.   Weren't we saying the same things about the Orr boys before they BOTH played significantly as Freshmen at TCU & Wisconsin respectively?
