Memphis academics will keep them out of any realistic ACC expansion chances. Also, UNC isn't going anywhere. NC politics gives authority to the North Carolina board of governors who are currently enacting legislation that would essentially bar any institutions from leaving the ACC. NC politics is truly one of a kind. ACC is also based in Charlotte. UVA might have some appeal to the Big 10 but they are also politically tied with VT (although to a lesser degree).
USF, SDSU, and Tulane are the only G5's that have a shot.
Yeah b/c Arizona, Colorado, and Utah are not already in a bizarrely configured Big 12 where they'll be roundtripping to such lovely destinations like Lubbock TX, Manhattan KS, Morgantown WV, Cincinnati OH, and Orlando FL.
