Headed to 10/10 game and need help with our tailgating plan

My family and I will be travelling from Denver to the UNT - Portland State game on 10/10. We will have a decent sized group (12+) that will be joining us and we need some help with our tailgating plan. None of us have tailgated at Apogee and only a few of us have experience tailgating in the Fouts parking lot back before Apogee. So would anyone mind helping us out on picking an ideal place? We aren't picky, but ideally we would like to be close to the other tailgating action and we would like some grass for the kids to play on so that they aren't stuck on a parking lot surface. Any suggestions you can provide will be greatly appreciated!

Unless you can get a red or blue parking pass you'll have to park at Fouts. If you work your way to the farthest point from the Super Pit there is some grass and an intramural field down there. Fouts has tailgaters, but the more dedicated ones, IMO, are in the Red/blue lots. The walk over from Fouts a cross the bridge is not bad at all.
