Western Kentucky offensive lineman Brandon Ray was charged with careless driving and an aggravated count of operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol following an incident on July 9.

Ray, 20, was driving the wrong way down a one-way street when he was stopped by a member of the Warren County Sheriff's Office. Ray failed multiple field sobriety tests and registered a 0.162 percent blood alcohol content level at Warren County Detention Center. In the state of Kentucky, the legal BAC limit for drivers under age 21 is 0.02 percent.

Ray was released the following day after posting a $1,000 bond. He’s due in court Oct. 7.
