UNT San Antonio Camp Update 2015

Good turnout at the camp, about 140.  All the coaches were there dressed in black, dealing with the humidity and heat. This is tough duty, they had an 8 hour day and got right on the road to Houston and then back up east Texas.  Tommy Perry still has primary responsibility in SA and DeMarcus Hicks does recruiting outside of SA and Hill Country.  A lot of good QB prospects in this region, more than typically and a few are on our radar.  Canales was there and commented that the hurry up offense was working well and was well received by the players. Simmonds will need a little time replacing 4 of the 5 and the quick passing game would help in that regard. 2015 Schedule is not a good topic.  First off we need 6 games.  Secondly other teams will have a game under their belts and we have a bye to start.  Other issues as well.  The new kid DaMarcus Smith is not a speed demon but he has a lot of the intangibles you need.

Kudos to the coaches for working their asses off out there on the road.  Making a good impression in South Texas.
