Paul Banks, CB, Navarro

Brett, he's actually not rated a 3-star by 247. They have him rated as a 2-star (78). He's a 3-star on their composite rankings, which average out the ratings from all of the big 4 recruiting services.

No offense Coach Davis, but I don't care for these kind of comments.

They insinuate that no North Texas player would ever be good enough to suit up for a P5 team. That's especially demeaning when insinuating it about a bottom half P5 team such as Tech. Would Lance Dunbar, Brelan Chancellor, Zach Orr, etc. have ridden the pine at any other school besides North Texas?

They come across as sour grapes. Each kid and his family have to choose what is best for their situation. If they decide Texas Tech is best for their situation, even if they're wrong, let them make their decision and wish them well.

I agree with you on this. Honestly, I don't think Banks will play at Tech but I didn't think he was going to start here either. Reminded me of DQ Johnson, with a little bit better film. Both tall JUCO CBs with just one other offer. If he does ride the pine at Tech I don't think we can say "see, could've come here and started."

Looks like we'll probably get Grindle, so there's not too much to get up in arms about here.

No offense mean green 66-69 but where in my statement did I say anything about Orr, Dunbar or chancellor???? I think Zach Orr is arguably one of the best players to ever where the green and was super disappointed to not see him get drafted. Same for the other two as well.. So maybe you are the one who should stop comparing this 2 star JUCO commit who is just "playing games" with my alma mater that I love so much to three of the best player who have ever suited up on Saturdays and busted there ass for the Mean Green and left it all on field every time. Thank you have a great day

Best for their situation..? Really? It's all about the hype, the greed, materialistic BS. He wants to pound his chest and tell his buddies that he's going to Tech (for wherever reason, according to 90 their unmatched history). It's ego, it's all about ego. These dudes would literally rather ride the pine at a P5 program (not saying Banks is riding pine) than suit up and actually play the game at a "lesser" G5 program. It's ridiculous. A trend that needs to be unset. It's rarely a better "situation" for the recruits family. It's usually a selfish egotistical decision made on the basis of the recruit trying to sniff out the highest perceived offer that he can. Oh well, as far as I'm concerned I wish him nothing but nothing and mixed in with a little nothing.

You didn't. Those names were just illustrations. If you read the post again with that understanding, you'll get the gist better. Or leave out that sentence if it makes you feel better.

Thank you have a great day

Thanks, bud. You too.

well nuts...it was My Desire to see this coverage Specialist under the Lights of apogee and I was All Fired Up over this Mammoth commitment...really thought we'd cleared both Obstacle 1 in getting him to campus and Obstacle 2 in getting him to commit, especially when we gave him a UNT uniform and got him to Try It On...that really looked like Success to me...he'd have been a real Wrecking Ball in our secondary.

But instead, Malfeasance! Who Do You Think You Are, paul banks? pretty Evil the way you played us...saying that you'd C'mere and then backing out. Texas Tech becomes The Undoing of this commitment...that hurts Twice as Hard...Anywhere but lubbock!

oh well...from the tapes I watched it looks like he has Slow Hands anyway. I also read he's not clutch...really struggles when you Turn on the Bright Lights...and if Memory Serves he had some issues with off-the-field Antics...I think he exposed himself on a city street...that may be All the Rage Back Home in Navarro, but here in Denton we've no need for a Public Pervert!! no thanks! we'll just find someone to be The New starting corner here...and I for one won't Mind Over Time that it's not you!

Did you even read why he decided on Tech? He had an offer from Houston, their defensive coordinator left for Tech, Banks didn't know if Tech would offer so he came to us, Tech did call aand offer a visit, he accepted, they offered a scholarship from the same defensive coordinator he had developed a relationship with previously at Houston, so he accepted. Nothing more to it than that.

Maybe he met a girl while on his visit here who seemed cool at first but ended up being completely against PDA, forcing him to keep his hands away. Then, while visiting his eventual school of choice, he met a girl at the rec center pool who was a diver and was totally down...she was always down. Smart choice.

(Sorry to be a first record snob, but thats the only one I really love)
