What if someone at La Tech decides to send the Omni an email about a light display around the bowl game!!!?????

This is no laughing matter, email just got to Ruston last month. It's only a matter of time before one of them figures out the @ isn't made by hitting a-backspace-shift-o.

That was a general University billboard, not one specific to Athletics or promoting an upcoming Bowl game. Big difference.

Let me guess which one?

"A Green Light To Greatness"?

"....something something something Success For Thousands Less"?

"...something something something something no one can read cause it's too effing long something something call call 1800MEANGREENSPORTS.com"?

Were those the ones?

Oh btw if you hated:

Green light to greatness, and

above the rest for thousands less

So does the new president!

So don't expect to see them anymore. They are to be phased out ASAP.

Sad part is, the university pays money for someone to come up with these crap slogans. Too many of you joke about this stuff(not talking about you Cerebus), yet that's exactly what the public sees in UNT.

Not just the public, but public who are former alums. That is where the continued practice of not being serious about a whole host of issues makes alums just shake their head. If they even notice, that is.

No joking here. I thought they were terrible when they went up and voiced my displeasure with them adamantly until they started taking them down. The new ones are typical artsy North Texas, but still 100 times better than the previous. So no complaints here.
