  1. Hey everyone, It's been a while since I have made it out to a game regularly but I'm excited to be going to the Homecoming game this weekend. Does anyone have an idea of what activities will be going on prior to Kickoff or can provide me a link to where that info is held? I am most interested in the hours of the alumni pavilion and what time the parade will start. Thank you!
  2. Last Saturday against UAB was not what we all wanted.. But time to looking forward to rice and good ol' Homecoming. Traditionally Homecoming is the better attended home game. With the weather looking nice, homecoming, and a 6-2 record.. Will we break another attendance record? Perhaps our first sellout?
  3. I am breaking out the Grill on this one. Victor & Amanda are building a “Nacho Average Taco Bar” should be good. And Amanda's "Mean Green Caramel Apple Jell-O Shots" should be there as well. Yum John is doing his "North Texas Homecoming Special Cuban Sandwiches", which are carved, made and panini pressed on site. Plus some kind of cookie I bet. I will have Balls, Beer Brats, and Cuervo Please Stop by and Bullshit a while have a ball or something we share. Enjoy this season! Weather is looking perfect. What is on your menu? I like to swing by Viewpoint Bank smoker also, they make some cool stuff different each week.
  4. Not gonna lie, I actually got some goosebumps with McConnell Tower's lighting there at the end.
  5. Hey guys! Since I'll actually be in Texas, I've been checking to see who else wants in. Including a Talon who hasn't been back in almost a decade, I'm bringing at least 11 to Homecoming as of now and hope to grow the total. We're just going to chill in the end zone with cheap seats and have fun. If anybody else is down or has friends up for cheap seats, message me. It's only 10 bucks with the group discount, so it's easy to get the "eh, I'm not that into it" crowd to come. Also, there are a couple of options for the UTEP game, and I already have a group of both UTEP and UNT friends that want to sit together. Tickets go on sale November 1st, so we have time to figure out what we want to do. The seats I'm looking at are NOT in the visitor section, since it's a mixed group, but if you wanna hang out with us, let me know and I'll see what kinds of packages are available! And...for UTSA...right now it's just me and my girlfriend, and the only thing I've found is a Groupon for $18 for General Admission, but if anybody wants to go in on a group rate, I'm open to that. We're not up for anything fancy, just wanna chill and hang out and watch the game, so any seats are cool with us.
  6. For me it was 2001 versus the MUTS. We beat a "sexy" Blue Raider team and got the ball rolling for 26 straight conference wins and 4 bowl games. Oddly enough, due to bad weather the night before, the bonfire was held after the FB game. It felt very symbolic for some reason. When it comes to tomorrow's game, it feels like there is a little bit of extra electricity in the air; like something magical is about to happen.
