Did we mention he’s only a junior in 2016-17? read more: https://collegecourtreport.com/2016/08/15/top-100-players-in-college-basketball-for-the-2016-17-season/
  2. Jeremy Combs made quite the impression during his unofficial debut at North Texas on Thursday during the school’s Basketball Madness tipoff event at the Super Pit. The freshman from Dallas Carter made a host of athletic plays during a scrimmage and then won a dunk contest at the end of the night, which also featured a 3-point shooting contest and a scrimmage for the women’s team. “Jeremy is a really good athlete,” UNT men’s coach Tony Benford said. “I have been doing this 24 years, and he is really talented. There was a day where Jeremy was having one of those practices where he was scoring, running the floor and blocking shots, and [senior forward] Colin Voss turned to me and said, ‘Coach, how’d we get him? He’s awesome.’ He has a chance to be really good.” Read more: http://www.dentonrc.com/sports/colleges/north-texas-headlines/20141024-basketball-freshman-combs-impresses-at-hoops-preview.ece
  3. We talked a little bit last night about UNT landing Jeremy Combs, a 6-foot-7 forward from Dallas Carter who committed after visiting with Tony Benford and Scott Monarch and covered the news again in today’s paper. Needless to say, landing Combs is huge for UNT. How big was it? We called Mike Kunstadt of TexasHoops.com for a little perspective. “I love him,” Kunstaddt said. “He’s energy plus. He has a natural knack for being around the basketball and getting loose balls and scoring. He’s a scoring machine. He scores mostly inside and gets to the rim. His motor is his main strength. He’s a great get for North Texas.” Read more: http://meangreenblog.dentonrc.com/2013/09/expert-on-combs-hes-a-great-get-for-north-texas.html/
  4. Jeremy Combs saw a lot of familiar faces when he visited North Texas multiple times over the last few months, including old rival Jordan Williams. The friendship Combs has with the Dallas-area players on UNT’s roster and the connection he developed with the Mean Green’s coaching staff led the Dallas Carter standout to commit to play for the Mean Green on Monday night. “I felt comfortable at North Texas,” said Combs, a 6-foot-7 forward. “It will be a good fit for me. I like the coaches and the players.” Combs is a highly sought-after prospect who led Texas Class 4A in scoring with an average of 23.2 points a game to go along with 7.7 rebounds last season. He recently visited Texas Tech and had scholarship offers from more than a half dozen other schools, including UT-Arlington, Colorado State and Houston. TexasHoops.com ranks Combs No. 15 on its list of the top 100 players in Texas in the class of 2014, which is loaded with players who are highly regarded on a national level. Four of the top 10 players in the Rivals national top 150 for the class of 2014 are from Texas. Oral commitments are non-binding. The first day of the early signing period is Nov. 13.
