A large chunk of the top junior college players in the country will gather later this month in Atlanta to work out in front of Division I head coaches and assistants looking to upgrade their teams’ talent. UNT is in position to land Mike Rodriguez, a point guard from Marshalltown (Iowa) Community College, who will be among the elite prospects at the camp. “North Texas’ coaches have been here throughout the year,” Rodriguez said. “A lot of coaches have talked to me, but none have offered. North Texas was the first to offer. In his final season at Nebraska, Sadler’s last head-coaching job, his assistants were Wes Flanigan, David Anwar and Jeremy Cox. Flanigan is currently an assistant hours north of Hattiesburg at Mississippi State. Anwar is now at North Texas.
