After being named SMU’s coach, Morris plucked Claude Mathis away from DeSoto to serve as his running backs coach, and Morris has just selected another coach from the college ranks, according to the Dallas Morning News. Mark Smith, coach at Hurst L.D. Bell since 2009, will join Morris’ staff as the Director of Recruiting and an offensive analyst.
