For a variety of reasons, some of you are not members of the Mean Green Club. Some staff member was thought to be rude, or someone didn't return a phone call, or one of us didn't get a premium parking spot. there are lots of reasons not to support North Texas Athletics. After watching this video, I don't understand any of those reasons. Their job is to run or catch or throw. Our job is to pay the freight. To provide money so that those athletes can represent us, the university of North Texas as well as they can. Our job is just as important and we don't have to sweat to do our job. I'd like to say, on behalf of all the members of the Mean Green Club, "Don't mention it. We're glad to do it." I just hope that some more of us will step up to the plate, or the line, or the tee and do our part as supporters of the University of North Texas. We need each other more now than ever. NT is closer to Tulsa than TCU or SMU. And we wouldn't whine about trying to get out of the conference.

I wonder who one would ask to see if the name Southwest Conference is available ? Secretary of State's office ? I would not be surprised to learn that the name is still registered with the schools of the SWC at the time it folded.

I like this very much, however, can New Mexico and NM State co-exist ? I'd also like to see Tulane if one of these schools fall out. Also, this would allow for only 3 OC games which is OK, again, assuming all the above schools would get on board. It's a good tight regional conference. The way it was intended. Is the name "SWC" atill available ? GO MEAN GREEN

Houston is gone, but what about Rice ? And what goes well with rice ? Memphis. There are still some CUSA schools casual collegiate fans don't recognize, but on the whole, I think CUSA would be an improvement. Having said that, until we get a CUSA, Big 12 or Pac 10 invite, build, back and bravo the Sun Belt Conference. GO MEAN GREEN

Dr. Suess is right. After finding teams that are bowl eligible, the most critical thing bowl promoters are looking for is attendance. they look at attendence numbers and how likely those fans are to travel to the bowl game. When North Texas fans stay home, they hurt the Mean Green. Some fans complain about the Sun Belt Conference. NT must win, dominate the Sun Belt first, but North Texas fans must show up to watch North Texas regardless of who the opponent is. Thanks for a great first year Coach MaC GO MEAN GREEN

Do you want more good news ? We're 3-4 so far in a "nobody league." Why would a potential "somebody" league want North Texas ? Think about this Saturday when it's "too cold," or "too early," or "my wife's best friend's cousin is getting married." While most of us can't coach or play, we can be present. I wonder if CUSA's experience with SMU has soured other member schools on the Dallas-Ft. Worth region. With SMU openly campaigning for membership in anything but CUSA, and SMU not being the metroplex presence they expected, maybe CUSA university presidents are not all that excited about another team in the D-FW area. Maybe they think Ownby Satdium is as good as it gets around D-FW. Wait until they get a look at Apogee Stadium. GO MEAN GREEN

These are really good ideas. Maybe not the naked day, but the rest are very good. Here's mine. not so much football as attendance. Every student is eligible for a drawing at the beginning of the 4th quarter. Students must have come into Apogee by the end of the 1st quarter and they can win a semester's worth of tuition based on what they're taking this semester. No fees, no housing, just tuition. If they're graduating at the end of this semester, they win 2 season tickets to next year's games. GO MEAN GREEN
