  1. It kind sad and exciting to see Fouts go to the big stadium in the sky. It is a testimony of how much progress UNT has made. One idea they should do in the new parking lot is mark where the 50 yard line was annnndddd where Sinbad said "we about to Paaaty"
  2. Man, I had San Marcos/ Hays on the Poll and accidentally deleted. My bad.
  3. Hello Mean Green Nation, I would like a show of hands of how many Alumni leave in or the around the Austin Area. I know the topic of UNT presence in Austin has hit wall after wall. But I feel the time is now to get this movement going again. But for a movement to start, we need to get an idea of what we are working with. Lets bring MEAN GREEN NATION to the State Capital!
  4. On all levels this is a nice hire. I hope Coach McCasland can bring the same kind excitement to UNT that SMU and TCU are having with there Basketball program right now. Just think, Next year Baylor and UNT in the Tourney....... Meeting in the Sweet 16 (hope.....hope.....hope.....hope) Maybe some more UNT love on the Ticket!
  5. For some strange reason, I have find myself say "THE" University of North Texas from time to time.
  6. Keep an eye out who UT's new AD will be. Rumors are going around about West Virginia's AD Oliver Luck. That would be Andrew Lucks father. If he is chosen that would be a big win for beer sales.
  7. Being in the land of Baylor, I am in total support of this messge. I have seen it here in Waco and I promise you Mean Green. All it takes is a coach that sees that same dream and he will lead us to greatness. Stay MEAN Stay GREEN!!!!
  8. You know what, I think the Sunbelt is trying to send us a nice going away present. How sweet would it be if we win the Conference and defeat and SEC team in a bowl game. I know CUSA and the Big 12 would love that out come.
  9. If you do come to Waco, we have a couple of places to watch. Logans, B-dubs... the good news is that Baylor is also playing at that time at the Floyd Casey so those places should be clear. the only thing...its against the Bearkats of Sam Houston State.... just let me know nation
  10. Hello Mean Green Nation, It has a been a long time for me and after this weekend, I miss the Nation. Sooo, I am looking for fellow Mean Greens in the Land of the Bear. I want to have a watching party of Mean Green, K-State in Waco. Please let me know if you are out there. Big Spill
  11. Watch the Coverage on ESPN 3. So far so good until they interview Rick V. and what does it say under his name "Athletic Director of North Texas Eagles." "Eagles." No Mean Green. Now I know that we fought hard, especially Rick V, to make sure we were called The University of North Texas not North Texas State. But it hurts to see them ignore our nickname.
  12. I don't know what to say.....There was a just a lot of mistakes. I wish that best for Coach Dodge and just hope that the Mean Green can start anew. The New Mean Green Stadium is a great chance for North Texas to reclaim its glory. As the Rangers have soon, with patients and faith, good things can happen for you. Glory to the Green, Glory To the White.
  13. Been a long time, I wanted to know if there have been any changes on the stadium or cost due to the economy.
  14. It's Waco. I will tell you this. this City is coming around on that Baylor Bears. I'm Hanging in there and just hope I can find a good job soon.
  15. http://www.wacotrib.com/sports/content/spo...acuniforms.html By Chad Conine Tribune-Herald staff writer Friday, July 17, 2009 There’s no question that Baylor quarterback Robert Griffin represents the future of Bears football. Baylor fans got a more specific picture of what that future will look like Thursday. Baylor head coach Art Briles unveiled the Bears’ new Nike duds, with Griffin standing front and center in a photo on the school’s athletic Web site. “Our players are excited about the new uniforms and are working hard this summer to have a great year on the field this fall,” Briles said. “The players and equipment staff worked with Nike to design a contemporary set of uniforms that would represent Baylor well and appeal to recruits.” The new uniforms include several intriguing possibilities, including a gold-pants-with-gold-jersey combination, and a new white helmet reminiscent of the New York Jets’ head gear. Bears Jay Finley, J.D. Walton, Griffin, Joe Pawelek and Jordan Lake modeled some of the various pants-jersey combos. Griffin sported a sharp combination of white pants adorned with the Nike swoosh on the right hip and the interlocking BU on the left, with a green jersey that included the school name across the chest, the interlocking BU on the sleeves and thin, white piping that cuts a jagged path from the collar to the waist. The Baylor quarterback also held the new helmet, which is white with a grey facemask and two green stripes that divide the cap from front to back. The traditional gold helmet will still be the Bears’ primary headgear. Also, all of the new pants include a green flare stripe that narrows from knee to hip. Key differences in school insignia include the return of the school name to the front of the jersey. The green helmet has been discontinued.
  16. TEXAS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'll tell you guys something. When the Adrian Peterson NCAA 08 commerical come on, (the one were the stop Bosie state in the Fiesta Bowl), Chills came down my spine when all you hear at the the end was boomer sooner. I would love to hear a NORTH TEXAS sound like that but better.
  17. I have to say.....that is the greatest line I have ever read.
  18. I have been in out on what UNT is Bohman's father have discussed or worked out. I know I would here something on the Ticket but nothing. Can anyone please give an Update and also pin the topic
  19. It so nice to hear that NT Players are getting the breaks that are well deserved.
  20. I fell that Patrick is going to be ok in the league. We can all agree that we are happy that when they tell you where Patrick is from. They just say North Texas. No "State." Playing to a national audience 4 straight years really help get the name out.
  21. I hope Cobbs makes the Team and starts. I hope there is a lot of nosie created by Cobbs' playing ability that catchs the attention of the League. This way we can see the wrongs that SMU has put on North Texas by not allowing the back to back Nation leading Rushers to at least be nomitated for the Doak Walker award. Let John Madden watch him play and say something about it. Radom babble
