The ultimate North Texas conversation
El Paso Eagle replied to untjim1995's topic in Mean Green Football
Sadly this is the story of way too many people who went to North Texas. However, with all due respect to your friend supporting Texas, I'm assuming he's also a Dallas Cowboys fan. Both fanbases are full of people who live on history and keep trying to tell people how significant they are. Texas has probably spent more money on a program to have such little success than any other program. But hey they're going to be back again, again, again, again. P.S. - Texas is a great example in college football of how so many people continue to judge programs on their history, not so much how they are performing. -

According to some

Well, if Sara can play football, then Murphy can play soccer ⚽

I think you hit the nail on the head. He was promoted to keep him here. Probably too late, but go back to Seth calling the plays and let MB refocus on the line.
-
Seth should come out in the show or press conference as basically say - We put him is a bad situation. We (coaches) screwed up and gave him bad advise.
-
It could also be said that from a morality perspective the inability to forgive is also concerning. Not just in this case, but, for example, when charges were dropped against Tate Wallis, many here said basically, wish him well, just not here. I'm not in favor of Papa Briles, but we seem to have a lot of people here who like to judge others.
-
So you don't support PB being here?
-
Anyone who thinks the Belt was the same has no sense of reality. At that time the belt was the worst collections of 1-A/FBS teams ever assembled. For all the crap I might give DD, he was smart enough to build a team that could succeed in the conference.

I call bullshit. If they are the best candidate and are cleared by the NCAA the we need to stop worrying about what some small group of SJW's that want to yell might say. I'm not saying to break rules but UNT needs to rethink the way it manages the program and get someone in to be competitive.

Thanks

And while were at it, call Tom Herman. We can't be turned down unless we ask.
-
Is where Wren is at. We are frustrated and saying Wren should fire Seth, but the truth is, money is an issue. We can all act like it isn't but we need to step into reality (as bad as it sucks). The reality is at this moment the boosters with the money are not ready for Seth to be gone. When they are, he will be gone. At some point Wren has to be able to weigh the risk of keeping Seth with the risk o cutting him lose and be able to convince his bosses.

$$$$$ Also keep in mind Coastal' s record attendance is less than 18K

Mirror after what Michigan did with Jim Harbaugh

No one thought we landed a great QB with Mason when he committed. We got lucky that he fell into our laps and turned out to be special.
-
Nope. Only because he has not been a HC. No more "up and coming" P5 coordinators.
-
Please, no more "up and coming" unless they have FCS/FBS Head coaching experience.
