  4. The deck is not so bad. Like Zeke said, it is good for a quick meal before the game if you aren't into the tailgating scene outside the stadium. It is also the only place to grab a beer while watching the game, albeit at a bad angle. The Mean Green Hospitality room is a much better deal (basketball only). You get two passes for each men's game at the $500 donation level. GO MEAN GREEN
  5. 9/24/94 vs Montana We were down 17-21 and driving inside the Montana twenty when, on the last play of the game, a penalty was called on the Montana defense. We were given one more play with no time on the clock from around the 10 or 15 yard line to try to win it all. We fell short, but it was a great game nonetheless. GO MEAN GREEN!!
  6. I'm not sure what constitues "pushed all over the field" exactly, but our defense actually held USM to fewer yards (403 vs 445), first downs (17 vs 25) and a lower third down conversion percentage (31% vs 50%) than did the Indians. Also, we held the ball for a full seven minutes longer than ASU (32:28 vs 25:36). Not to take anything away from the Indians. They played extremely well and their offensive performance was hands down better than our effort last year. It seems to me that the biggest difference in the two games is that USM got up early on us and took our offense out of it's gameplan. We were never able to establish the rush and, well, the rest is history. 12. A fluke win does nothing for our program. The story won't be how we beat LSU, it will be how LSU somehow found a way to lose to us. I'll take a shot at a conference championship over a guaranteed OOC victory anyday. And no, I'm not kidding you.
  13. No way. If we lose to LSU, but win out (obviously a very BIG if) we would be 6-5 with at least a share of the league title likely. I realize we aren't playing well right now but we have all seen this team turn it around before.
  14. I'm in for Saturday night. Staying at the Holiday Inn.
  15. Here is some tailgate information the department provided. Parking will likely be nearby. http://www.nmnathletics.com/pdf5/18934.pdf...&DB_OEM_ID=1800

  17. I saw in yesterday's WSJ "Journal Report" section that the winners of the WSJ 2005 Student Achievement Award were listed (page R10). One student from each school is selected and the winner from North Texas is Nicholas Daniel Bazaldua. In total there are about 500 Universities listed, each with one winner, so this is quite a prestigious award. I also couldn't help but notice that several schools were not on the list, including Texas, Texas A&M, SMU, U of H, Rice, UTEP and Baylor. Congrats to Nick.
  18. A quick shout out to Soundman for towing that huge smoker all the way to the Boro so the North Texas fans in attendance (and a handful of MT fans) could enjoy some genuine Texas barbecue before and after the game. We all appreciated it very much!! GO MEAN GREEN!!
  19. I'll be there. Hitting the road tonight with FirefightnRick and crew. Soundman, what time will you be at the stadium?
