  1. Same here... stadium turf can run 1+ million. Somehow we got a really good deal.
  2. Very proud of Jeffrey - just a great young man that will represent UNT well in the NFL. The combine and tests are critical for all G5 RB's, because even if you tear it up at a G5 school, there will still be some NFL scouts/coaches wondering "can he do it at the next level". I think Jeffrey has a great shot.
  3. Exactly. Fine has missed some throws and not his best game, but I would be in the hospital after the beating he has taken (today and against FAU). Our OLine gets sooooo abused by any good DL.
  4. One of the worst defenses in the country. Littrelll - please fix this!!!!!
  5. Our OL is getting owned and abused - not sure why we abandoned the short pass plays, especially in the middle.
  6. Exactly - kick the extra point which is automatic for us... and stay within one score. Not good for your resume SL.... :-(
  7. Dang - execution just isn't there today. Fine has missed on 2 big passes to Chumley and now to Bussey which was an easy TD Team has to realize that in a game like this - to even have a chance - you have to hit those plays.
  8. Does anyone actually coach our defense??? Isn't right-side containment taught in freaking high school???
  9. Nice season overall - team has checked-out apparently. Troy is very relaxed and confident, and we are a deer in the headlights. Lots of work to do before 2018. Hope Littrell gets it done next year.
  10. Note to Littrell - please get someone in here to fix the defense before the 2018 season :-)
  11. That was a nice win against LSU - no doubt. Some of those passes by the LSU quarterback were pretty questionable - bad decisions. Y'alls kicker is funny - such a celebration for an easy 37 yd field goal along with a really bad miss - the Mean Green definitely have the advantage there :-)
  12. Agreed - the FAU secondary scheme gave us fits - along with their D Linemen being in our backfield most every play. I'm sure Troy took note of the FAU scheme and how it gave us fits ... we better be ready to make offensive adjustments quickly.
  13. We're seeing just how much having Wilson back there covered some of our OL weakness since he's a really good blocking RB. This is a big concern going into the bowl game. Poor Evan Johnson tried hard when he was on the field, but he's not going to stop a D Lineman. Our OL needs a lot of help. Murray made the FAU right DE look like Charles Haley.
  14. How on earth are we playing a CUSA team that is that much bigger and faster than us? This is crazy. Our O-Line is playing one of their worst games of the year.
  15. Dear Coach Kiffin - please call off the dogs early and don't make this thing end 70 - 10. Thanks for your consideration. Hate games like this where we look so small and so slow.
  16. Embarrassing – Mason is very rattled out there, and they are just much bigger, stronger, faster
  17. I don't think he's played - so very likely a redshirt this year. I didn't remember us recruting him - but I saw him a few times his senior year at Lindale HS and was very impressed - quick and great vision. He's on our roster as a WR ... excited to see him play in the future - could be another Michael Lawrence type receiver.
  18. We may be adding 2017 Playboy Party School champion to our conference championships this year :-)
  19. Absolutely. Great look for a great win Saturday
  20. Defense plays much better, but our D still has a ways to go. I think we can outscore ODU at home. Wilson gets back to triple digits. Mean Green: 37 Monarchy of Old Dominion: 34
  21. I had a bad feeling about this game. Most teams have a game each year where, for whatever reason, the team just isn't up to play. If you're Alabama, that's probably fine because you'll get an "ugly win" that week. Like SL said in his postgame interview, we're not good enough to take a week off - and we got schooled big time. Good news is that the team is mostly healthy and they still control their own destiny. Hopefully their play against ODU this week will show a sense of urgency and drive (and a little chip on their shoulder - something to prove). I have a feeling they will play well against ODU.
  22. My wife has done the same thing with me many times after I rant about everything wrong with a UNT program ... it must be hard being the wife of a die-hard Mean Green fan :-)
  23. Yeah, Booger and his older brother Kenoy are both good 'ol boys loving the country life (Kenoy is outside of Forney - had some good years in the NFL). Booger's combination of size, quickness, and strength made him just about unstoppable in college - definitely one of my all-time favorite players. He's still connected to the program as a letterman.
  24. I think the more appropriate thread title would be "North Texas *almost* gave away this game". Up 16 and deep in UAB territory after a blocked punt is where a game like this has to be put away. There's no reason that UAB should have really been in the game at that point. Props to UAB though for a gutsy comeback - especially to their QB who is one tough dude.
