  1. The more of these big complexes that are built, the better it is for UNT. We already have in between 6k-7k beds on campus. The big apartment complex with 1st floor retail in the fry street district should begin construction soon as well. The atmosphere up here is going to be unbelievable as the students become more and more centered around campus....Unless Denia screws it up.
  2. This is what the bracket would look like if the Tourney started today. We are basically 1/3 of the way through the conference slate, so I don't think it is too early to see how things are starting to shape up. Thankfully there are still 10/11 games left depending on the team, and all this can mix up a bit, because right now this is pretty much (in my opinion) the worst case scenario for North Texas. 1. Not getting a bye, 2. playing a potentially dangerous WKU team in the first round, and 3. playing FIU in the quarterfinal... All of this can start to turn around though with a win @ Monroe tomorrow night. For those who are curious, if the women's tourney started today, North Texas (2-4) would play South Alabama (3-3) in Round 1, with Denver (3-2) waiting for the winner in the quarterfinal.
  3. These numbers are up to date through the ASU/Lamar game on Monday night. Western Kentucky is still in the overall lead, and still has the most highly attended game of the year (Louisville). Denver, with their 6200+ crowd for FIU has taken over the top spot for the most highly attended SBC conference game. North Texas is pushing MTSU for second place, averaging just under 200 fans less per game. Denver is also on the rise, looking like they may have a shot at the top 3 in attendance if they continue to be successful. FAU is still in last place. The Winter Holiday numbers are FINAL. Western Kentucky wins that category. MTSU came close as the WKU attendances have declined significantly recently, but WKU held on. FAU once again came in last place. ASU and UALR are leading in the SBC home attendance with North Texas just 400 or so behind. The shocker here is that WKU is all the way down in 5th place. AND...in the most unshocking piece of data, FIU leads SBC away game attendance. Apparently people enjoy yelling things at Isaiah Thomas.
  4. If he can still tackle like that playing at the FBS level, he may be a starter this year...
  5. We have a 2.29 Star Average right now, which is 2nd highest in the SBC. Also, our ranking will move up once all of the new guys that committed show up on rivals. I would not be surprised if WKU moves down a few spots when all is said and done. They are doing a pretty good job though.
  6. I'll be rooting for Mcneese State next season. Good Luck Riley! Do I think it is the right decision to leave? No. I wish he would stay and honor his committment...mostly because I think he could stil be succesful here...but with all of the injuries, and losing, and his dad being fired, I completely understand why he would want to start over somewhere, and I wish him the best.
  7. Once a Pike, always a Pike!
  8. I don't see any reason why we can't still get a 14 seed. We really shouldn't lose more than two more games this year...assuming we get our groove going on the road, and take care of business in the SBC Tournament. I see almost ZERO chance we are a 16 seed unless we have a complete debacle in conference and come out of nowhere to win the SBC Tourney.
  9. Good job Arkansas State...now please beat Denver on Thursday.
  10. This seems like a great pickup. Welcome aboard Grant!
  11. You should lower your expectations for SMU...
  12. Good Picture! Not sure where you got this one, but I like it. This is the Epsilon Delta Chapter of the Pi Kappa Alpha Fraternity. The caption within the picture only says epsilon delta for some reason. I am actually a member of "Pike." We came back on campus in 2007 after a 13 year absence. I am actually in this picture. Are you by any chance a member Harry?
  13. I'm a big fan of when supporters of other schools post on here, but this really has nothing to do with North Texas football. Also, I do not think that potential ESPN interest in a game two years away, between a current 1-AA school, and another that is yet to play their first down of football is so newsworthy that it transcends the fact that it has nothing to do with UNT...or our football team. Nevertheless...I would not mind TSU-SM joining the Sun Belt.
  14. For what it's worth, any recruit worth anything would know that memphis is highly overrated.
  15. I think we still have a shot at a 14 seed, but I'm no expert. I may be being overly optimistic though.
  16. If Keenum gets a 6th year, then Tune should sure as hell get one if he wants it.
  17. Micah Thompson Rivals Profile Looks like a pretty good pick up. 2 Stars on Rivals. 6'5" and 290 pounds.
  18. I think it is only 3 QB's. Brent Osborn, Cooper Jones, and now Andrew Mcnulty.
  19. is curious what that loss to Troy will do to our potential NCAA seeding...:(

  20. This is going to be an uphill battle, but we can do it. That automatic NIT bid would be really nice.
  21. The UNT women won today, so the tower should still be green....
  22. I have to believe that if UTEP left CUSA that we would be the replacement pick over Louisiana Tech. I know SMU would be vehemently against it, but common sense should overrule them...I would expect more competition from Troy or MTSU.
  23. They also need to be individually numbered and come with a certificate of authenticity. That always seems to add value to stuff...
