I think it was '01... maybe '02. We had a home and home with them... the first we lost 19-5 and the second we lost like 10-13. Something like that. they have been really close games.

One thing I have given RV credit for is establishing more regional non-bcs teams like Tulsa, SMU, Baylor, Rice, La Tech... Bringing in our military academies is great too! I would like to see us work something up with UTEP, NMSU, Tulane, Houston, Southern Miss, Tech, and TCU as well. More Baylor please!

This is great news. I hope we extend to 8 games with smu only because it is so easy to watch the home and away games.

Looking at that... plus the likes of Ross and a few others (and an proven, experienced D- Coordinator) I think our defense will be light years ahead of what it was last year. I suppose that isn't saying too much since a little improvement would look like it is huge step compared to last year. I just want to see us be competitive defensively and I think we have the tools to do that. Health is THE key factor.

The edge SMU has is the same one we had last year. I wouldn't worry about it too much. We will get things going.... It is really really early. I wouldn't fret so much as there is a lot of time between now and February. Improvement on the field this fall would be our best recruiting tool. Dodge will do his best to bring in quality. It isn't all doom and gloom. We were spoiled by one season of really early commits and so now we are worried because we aren't getting them. Well, TCU has always out recruited us (save last year) and SMU has the new coach like we did last year. What is happening should not be a surprise as they both have the upper-hand right now. The climate can change as the season progresses.

SMU still has men's soccer?! I could have sworn they cut that program in the late 90's.

Some of the players I have spoke to think Roberson is the best WR on the team. I thought that was interesting when I heard that.
