Nick Saban wants to be voice for change in college football
greenminer replied to NT80's topic in Mean Green Football
I myself think it's the dirty undies. The laundry. The whites. -
Rice blowing out UAB in Alabama is wild to me.

QB commit - Chandler Morris - transfer from TCU

We landed Jamario because we have resources that accommodated his dyslexia. We regressed, but it's not like there is the cavernous divide between our program and TxState's 8-win season. If we were only winning 2-3 games, then I would totally understand a recruit going with Kinne and Co. -

I mean, we destroyed Cinci in a bowl game once, and I didn't see CUSA-tier athletes coming to this Sun Belt school. Both of us are right to varying degrees. I just think, for most kids, a full conference slate of AAC teams is cooler than an opportunity to win a ton and be rewarded with....a matchup with Rice. -
Pretty sure I saw stats for TP that reflected what he could do with < 5 seconds remaining (shot clock/game/whatever).

One team is in the AAC, the other is not. Some student-athletes think that's a big deal, some do not. -
Why can we not just borrow more money from the University?

I hate debt, but if you want to have this discussion, then let’s ask the obvious: what is in place in the future that guarantees we would be able to pay it back? -

I think people were saying the same about NIL, too. weird to see you speak like you have this all figured out, when you’ve been wrong before. EDIT: not actually weird. Perfectly in line with a resident troll. -

Interest/desire is too strong to care about Congress. Lots of "let's get it done and we will figure this out later" movement going on. We'll find out, one way or the other. -

What have you read that makes you believe this? I'm talking about a complete split. The B10/SEC will no longer share a playoff/system with the rest of us. Even with some truth, I think that will be short term. A complete split, with zero playoff involvement for the rest of us, is on the horizon. -

The P5/G5 talk should start to fizzle as more and more people realize this is B10/SEC...then everyone else. There will be a split. SMU put there best foot forward and got a step closer than us, but in the end it won't matter. What is interesting to me is how the CFB world will treat them knowing what they sacrificed to be in this new position. -
Reason I liked this statement: it was sincere, and not coach speak Reason I did not like it: Good coaches find a way to talk about responsibility, for themselves and the players, in a constructive way. I don't fee like he played this well. Any other coach and this would generate more steam, but Pitino will enjoy the benefits that come with his previous successes.

Of note, that I overlooked, UAB enjoyed the benefit of a full week's prep for us. They did not play mid-week. Couple our injury situation with our emotional win over Memphis mid-week, and I think this didn't work in our favor. No excuses though. Let's get some rest and correct what we can.

Ah, okay! I can make that work: https://thevarsitynetwork.com/feed/source/oas-1337?audioPlayer=uabirm%3Aallaccess-Archive-4780 Game ends, they take a commercial break, and the postgame discussion starts @ 2:39:02 mark EDIT: The Lindeborg interview begins at 2:46:45

Pulling that up for anyone interested.

What would you like to see, weekly affirmations? Everything from him will be verbal, since there is no NLI/signature involved here. This Tweet is still at the top of his profile page. -
I think the spectrum of preference varies WILDLY. I cannot believe it, but sometimes I run into people who prefer a vibe a la Monster Jam.

I imagine Caponi would buy that fourth tire and hang it on the spare/rack. -
What would be your move with Rubin?
greenminer replied to greenminer's topic in Mean Green Basketball
That went out the window during OOC play. IMO, it's extremely hard for us to crawl back into those conversations. Especially after losing to SMU/FAU/UAB. -

I can’t think of a scenario where this kind of decision is based on offseason turnover. can you explain your reasoning here? -
Pretty sure he was poking the bear.

All this back and forth about how we do with/out Rubin. How do you think we’d be doing with a serviceable backup PG? You think we would be sitting with 3-4 more wins? Competing for a 1 or 2 seed? I suspect we’d be in a position for a T4 seed.
